In accordance with 5 C.F.R 213.3112(a)(1), we are currently seeking applications from qualified residents from the Snake and Spring Valley's and the communities of Baker, NV; EskDale, UT; and Garrison, UT. Only those individuals who have maintained a permanent exclusive residence for a minimum of two (2) years in these communities will be considered.
This is a TIME-LIMITED (NTE 13 Months) SEASONAL POSITION that will generally last at least 26 weeks but no longer than 48 weeks within one service year from date of hire. This position may be extended at management's discretion, for a total of 4 years from initial appointment.
This position is located within the National Park Service, Pacific West Region, Great Basin National Park, Administrative Division. OBTAIN A FAVORABLY ADJUDICATED BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION PRIOR TO START YOU MUST HOLD A VALID STATE DRIVERS LICENSE PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENT: TYPING SPEED (SEE REQUIREMENTS SECTION) As office receptionist answers the telephone and greets visitors. Provides general information and directs visitors to appropriate personnel for specific information. Receives and distributes incoming mail, and prepares outgoing mail for delivery. Maintains central filing systems. Anticipates needs for and assembles reports, files, and documents relating to calls. Information frequently must be obtained from a variety of sources and may require extensive searching, researching, telephone calls, etc. Prepares payroll for office employees and serves as a timekeeper. Answers employees' questions concerning pay, hours of duty and leave. Performs supply functions including receiving incoming supplies, materials and equipment, checking items against acquisition documents for completeness. Uses computers and appropriate software for data collection, analysis and collating. Prepares reports, forms and tabular material, providing proper spacing, heading and arrangement for ease of understanding and information processing, checking for proper format on documents and forms.
Work requires sitting at a desk, standing, bending, reaching, walking and lifting in an office setting but may be performed out in the field. FOR THE GS-05: You must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level of difficulty and responsibility. SPECIALIZED
Experience: Includes but is not limited to, knowledge of maintaining a filing system both electronic and hard copy, the use of computers to develop correspondence, memos, forms and other standardized documents, experience preparing time and attendance, the administrative processes and procedures in travel, and knowledge of commonly used computer software including word processing.
NOTE: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; and student) Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Credit will be given for all qualifying experience regardless of whether compensation was received and whether the experience was gained as a part-time or full-time occupation. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. To receive credit for such experience , your resume must indicate clearly: 1. The nature of your duties and responsibilities in each position; and 2. Complete dates of employment period (e.g. MM/YY to MM/YY, MM/YYYY to Present, etc.); and 3. The number of hours per week spent in such employment for each position. In lieu of the specialized experience requirements you may substitute the following education: Four years of education above high school (120 semester hour or 180 quarter hours) leading to a bachelor's degree in business administration, recreation management, public relations.
A combination of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total minimum qualification requirements. It is your responsibility to provide documented proof that you have met the applicable educational provisions. Unofficial college transcript(s); a statement from the registrar, dean, or other appropriate official; or equivalent documentation (a listing of college courses completed) is acceptable. Failure to submit your documentation will result a not qualified rating. Official transcripts will be required prior to a start date. NOTE: Education must be accredited by an institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education's College Accreditation Website.
Foreign education credentials must be evaluated by an organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university. You must document your typing speed on your resume or upload a certificate of proficiency dated within the past 3 years. You are required to operate a government vehicle, therefore, must be able to acquire and hold a valid state Driver's License.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
